Mission 1 - Team B

Drake tilted the bottle back and gulped the water down quickly. He then stood up, stretched his aching muscles, and stashed his sleeping bag away. Seeing Lesnia writing a letter reminded him of his family back home. Maybe he should write a letter to them as well? He could contact his younger sister, Demetra. He wondered if she had been discharged from the hospital yet.

"Well, I'm ready to go." He said.

Lesnia sighed and turned back to the team, she felt reluctant to take her eyes off the horizon for fear that she would miss something. It always seemed when you look out to something disappearing on the horizon that even when you see it's gone you still think it's there. She looked at the camp, amazed that it had been put up so quickly without any help from her, she felt like a slacker for writing a letter instead of helping out. "It seems that everything is in order," she said pulling her pack across one shoulder, "I'm ready to go when you are." she said.

Emilia picked up her bow and put the arrow back in the carrier. She put a few bottles of water in the bottom of her bag and slung it across her body. She hadn't tried her bow yet, she was worried about the pain it might cause her. She looked around the desert, "That way?" She asked with a hint of a question. She wasn't entirely sure what way was what. She really just wanted to get the mission over with. Yes, she was getting experience but she was already tired and injured.

Drake closed his bag and slung it over one shoulder as they stepped out into the scorching dessert. He knew immediately that the three of them had a long, miserable day ahead of them. His body already longed for the wintry temperatures of the mountains. "I don't remember from what direction we came." He admitted reluctantly. He was a bit ashamed for forgetting their trail, seeing as how he was normally a useful member of the team.

"Lesnia?" He looked at her hopefully, praying that she would remember.

Lesnia lagged a little behind, not wanting to rush herself, it was morning after all. She was still in the clearing with the cactus when her team mates asked which direction they had come. She shrugged, she looked around. Obviously there were no markers in the desert but, here if you looked a little closely there were. They had cut their way through the cactus, and therefore the sign of it was still there, "We go back the way we came." she said pointing at the tiny path through the spines, "I can't count that we walked straight the whole time, but it's a good starting point." she said walking toward the opening.
